Stubby antenna w/ sat radio

Anyone running an OEM stubby antenna and able to use sat radio still? Just bought my '11 JCW a few weeks back and my Sat radio is stuck at "acquiring" even after many refresh signals. Curious if the stubby is the issue or maybe the base isn't as good as it once was?

Thanks.

I can acquire a signal with the "mast" removed .....

are you sure your car (recently purchased used) HAS sat??????

If the car was SAT READY ...... there's a piece missing ......

I have the Satelite option under “mode” and it has a Sirius radio ID and shows an active trial subscription, so I do believe that I actually have it, yes. So seems to be a fault with the antenna or something then.

The stubby is only for AM/FM, the Sat antenna is the base.

Clears that up then, guess it’s either a fault base or wiring. Gonna give a couple more calls to Sirius and see what they say.

Yes I currently have an active 3 month trial, verified with Sirius.
