Purchase 05 MCS

I am looking at purchasing a 2005 MCS, standard trans, the car has 65k on it which is low I think but also a factor that I like. It is in very good condition but wonder if the ask price is a little high.

It doesn't have heated seats and I wonder what the cost is to have this done?

I know heated seats are not a necessity but are kind of nice to have

Thoughts?

Thanks

Where is the car located? Winter wonderland road salt is never good. How much is being asked?

On the seats, I am trying to remember if the fuse block has the terminals when you do not order the heated seats. I am thinking my car has no terminals at that location. I will take a look today and post something later.

When selling you ask NADA, when buying you use KBB.

Ok, checked my fuse block and the heated seat fuse is there so would also assume the wiring harness is in place to the seats. Would be logical that you would have to buy used seats that have the heat element. Would have to check to see if you can disconnect the battery when you remove the old seats so that you do not trip the airbag sensor light so that Dealer has to reset.

You can find the electrical diagrams via item # 15 in the below thread.

That price seems a little high. Is the body and interior perfect? I bought an '06 MCS with 68K two years ago for $6700. It was the high part of my price range.

I am pretty sure the wiring is not there. MINI makes a retrofit wiring harness with the switch for adding heated seats. Plus you have to get a set of seats that were originally heated. My 2 cents would be to buy a car thats equipped the way you want it . I added the heated seats and mirrors to one of my 2006 JCW's and I bought the retrofit harness and swapped the seats out for ones with heat pad installed
