Hoosiers 225/40R17 FITS......

I have 2 weekends left and get a chance to use some Hoosiers. I was running Federal RSR's with pretty good success.

These tires are 1.3 inches wider in each corner, so its going to be interesting.

what wheels and offset are you running.

I ruined a set of these as they cleared in the rear until under full load the rubbed on the trailing arm. So make sure you check the inside after you run.

There 17x8 45. I went for a scrub in and they did rub on arm. So I bought 4 3mm spacers. Already have a 8mm and using a 15mm up front. Yes I definitely will be checking after first run. I mite just go with the 8mm from the start.

Thanks I ended up using a 8mm and probably need a 10mm spacer for the rear. 6mm rubed after first run going at a moderate speed. Put on the 8mm and was a lot better with just a slight rub and finished out the day with that. No rubbing on the outside. Tires stuck very well.

Looks like 225/40-17 Hoosier A7 on 17x8 ET45 with a 15mm front and 8mm rear spacer if I follow the thread correctly.

tire rack has a tool that lets you sort wheels by width. They list 4 different 17x8 ET35 & ET45 starting at $95/ea.

what tires were you on before, and did it drop you in raw enough to justify the price?

I still have not decided what I will run next year, STX on rival S 1.5 225/45 or SMF with the track car on slicks, same hoosiers you got are in the shopping cart, costs about twice as much to run the purple crack

Well if I compare my time against Danny Kao in a 2017 Civic type r. I gained 1.5 sec. But that was 6 weeks apart from running with him. Plus I got better in that time too. This is my first year autocrossing. So I’m still learning.

There’s another guy in SMF class I beat him by 1.4 sec a month and half ago and last time I got him by 3.5 sec. So I definitely improved and the Hoosiers help. How much not sure?

The last event that I used the Federal RSR’s I ended up 3rd fastest raw time out of 67.

All my runs are here. I tried too make them entertaining.

End of next year I’ll know. Just wanted to do everything I can with the class I’m in. If I would start over I would buy a brand new Car and run the stock class. I jumped into this head first lol. I just lucked out at being halfway decent. Probably not the answer your looking for.

I’m stuck in th middle of 3 Regions. 2 of them have 8-11 SMF cars and my closest has none. The smf cars I run against don’t make the power that I do. One of them asked me about buying a Mini for next year. Lol I told him I would help him. He was running a ford contour SVT.

here there's some tricked out civics that show up, mini wont touch those things, the are not even street cars anymore one of them grids with a generator and fan to cool the thing off.

They need to raise the minimum weight for SMF so newer fwd cars will bother showing up at the nationals
