iPhone 8 (iOS11?) Causing Reboot?

Twice today while my wife's phone was connected to USB and playing spotify it caused the infotainment screen to reboot. Both times were during a phone call. Anyone else have this issue?

Yes
See my thread under the Navigation/Audio section of the Forum.

This has happened to me 4-5 times yesterday, the first day using the new phone in the MINI.

I just got an email from Apple Support telling me about an update that was just released for iOS11, which is 11.0.1

I installed the update and still have the same issues.

I will update this if I hear from Apple anytime soon.

We need to push MINI to update the infotainment system frequently for compatibility of new devices that come out all the time. They rarely update it in the 3 MINIs I have owned.
Still frequently get wrong album artwork and dismount and remount phone as temporary fix.

Would be nice to see more apps added to the supported MINI Connected apps! We need to push the engineers!

Happening on my 2017 F54 and also on my mother's 2017 F57 when my iPhone 8 is connected.

Can get really annoying. Reboots typically start 4 minutes after a cold start. Could happen once, could chain reboot a dozen+ times. If more than 6 or so chain reboots, it erases my stored profiles, any BT connections and the last destinations on the nav.

Had the car in for maint and mentioned it. Dealer said there was a code claiming a "bad USB cable".

Disconnected the USB and even when ONLY connected via BT it will still randomly reboot.

Have to find time to take it in again. It's happened on all iOS 11 revs through the latest 11.1.

Scary that my car can reboot while driving with NO physical connection, Bluetooth only.

Updated my phone to the iOS 11.2 beta and haven't had a reboot since.
