Need one Goodyear 17" run flat
Need one Goodyear 17" run flat
No shop I have checked with will repair my nail hole because it is a run-flat. It is in a normally repairable location.
Anyone have a used single I could buy?
Or I will have to get the tires I want Yoko AVS-ES100's.
I think I can buy three for the price of one run-flat.

There are basically 2 ways to fix a flat. You can plug it from the outside by shoving in a plug and glue but it normally isn't recommended as a permanent type repair--especially if you like to drive your car hard. The best way is to plug it from the inside--take the tire off, and plug it. This is supposed to be the best way to fix a tire.

I guess I do not need to worry about fixing the flat since they destroyed the bead removing the tire
I did not notice when I picked up the tire and rim in a rush on my lunch hour.
I doubt they will give me any credit for destroying a tire that could not be repaired, of course I will ***** and see.
Now do I buy:
One GY RSA (Current tires have 9.5K on them)?
4 New fun tires (I wanted to buy a milltek exhaus)?
Just put the car away for the winter and drive my winter beater w/snows and forget about this debacle until spring

The tire was repairable until they ruined it. If they don't patch runflats, that is their choice. It still doesn't grant them license to destroy your property. They owe you a tire.

A set of light wheels + tires has been rattling around in the back of my head... I would be torn between the look of 17's and weight of 16's.
Not a racer maybe a track day a year, but I love to go go go...

I updated my signature to receive loving abuse by fellow NAM members to make me purchase light wheels and performance products I want but have not justified during this "tiring" time.
