Sport Link info follow-up

Several folks who have PM'd me with interest are 2nd or 3rd owners of their Mini's and weren't sure if they had the Sport Link installed. The Sport Links were offered as a custom order from Mini for many years, (I believe, at least mine was) installed at the dealer, and could also be purchased and installed after-market. I got my Sport Link and Bike Rack as part of my 2007 S Convertible Mini purchase when I lived in White Plains, NY, and then I ordered the the receiver hitch as I was interested in short distance transport of a Vespa. I traded in that Mini before I ever got the chance to use the receiver hitch, however, the bike rack worked great! The dealer to whom I traded the Mini didn't want to deal with the rack and receiver hitch.

Here are pictures (thanks Mini Fini FB page!) of what an installed Sport Link looks like. Many more to be seen at www.facebook.com/MiniFiniLink/

These were sold in person, at the listed price. Thanks to the folks who contacted me, and especially the buyer!

I know it's sold but do you think this would fit R56?

No, it will not fit an R56. The unit that you install inside the car behind the bumper, the MINI FINI Sports Link is very specific to the Gen 1 cars. It's a great option and I love mine, but it won't work with other generations.
