how did i make out as far as the show went or how did i make IT out OF the show with a burnt clutch?

how did i do in the show? they didn't judge me in the right category because i lost my registration and didn't have corresponding numbers, so in the category that there was only one other MINI that was stock, as mine is NOT, i didn't even place.... oh well, there's always next year for the show..... heh, NO more burnouts!

how did i make it out of the show? the clutch wasn't all the way gone when i left the show, so i figured i would limp the injured little guy home (2 hours away) the next day, but i didn't get 2 miles down the road before the clutch disk melted to the flywheel and wouldn't release, causing my car to stay stuck in first gear.... MINI roadside assistance came to get me and that was that!

i'll be sure to take pictures of how terrible the clutch looks this weekend when i finish the install.... wish me luck!

Garcia,
We need to hook-up and chat on some mods.
I am getting ready to install the pulley, and drop some springs on it.
I may need your help....

SoCar,

Yeah! Sounds like a plan. Hit me up on AOL IM sometime, or PM, either way would be good.

Also, if anyone is intersted in seeing what the car looks like torn apart, I've uploaded pictures to my gallery page on the install. Please note the pictures were taken with my camera phone as I left my digital at home when I was working on the car this weekend, so don't complain about the quality - i'm letting you know how bad it is in advance!

Yeah, you sure did a number on that clutch.. At least you will now have experience in replacing a MINI clutch, so I'll know who to come to when mine wears out!
