Stealth Turn Signals

I just ordered a set of Sylvania Silverstar turn signal bulbs (7507ast). I was wondering if anyone has changed/replaced theirs? If so, Was it hard? and can you give me some pointers on what to do or not to do? Or can someone direct me to a previous thread? I like doing work myself but I hate finding out there was an easier way to do it later.

thanks

I replaced mine with Silverstar 1156 equivalents. The bulb wattage and size is correct, but I had to grind off one bayonet pin to make them fit. They look better than the 'fried egg' of the stock bulbs and flash normally in amber. The replacing of the bulbs themselves is easy, requiring no tools or disassembly. Open the bonnet, twist the bulb holder and remove it. push and twist the bulbs counterclockwise to remove, reverse the process to reassemble and you're done.

This holds true for the stock rear lights but doesn't for the MINI white tail lights that have bulbs that are soldered into the sockets. In that case you'd need to go back to the stock light assembly and use colored light bulbs for stop and turn signals.
