Who would want a Roof White MINI?

Would you be more interested in a TRUE White MINI?

Did you decide not to get a MINI in white because you didn't like the creme color of Pepper White?

I fell in love with white on the MINI when i saw the italian job but was slightly dissapointed that it was actually pepper white. Pepper white just looks whiter when photographed. I still love my PW MCS but i think i would still go for a TRUE BRIGHT WHITE MCS if it was availible.

Anybody else other there that would like the same? Do you think MINI would listen to us if we made a large move asking for it?

I don't like "true white" cars. They remind me of Milk delivery trucks or ambulances.

I have the best of both worlds...a '04 MCS CR/W and a '02 Cooper CVT PW/B. Love both colors and give the car two distinctive personalities... CR/W is a classic combo, racy, fast, cheerful and simply says "I Want to come out and play"!. I have the Union Jack roof decal and chrome mirror caps with chrome grille and my MCS looks very British!

PW/B is subtle, sophisticated and turns lots of heads. Pepper White is a traditional british off white or cream color. You'll see it in many vintage British cars including Jaguars, that's why we picked it...It is not your traditional ugly white paintwork.

I think PW suits the Cooper better than the MCS, but that's me.

Hey Thameth, have you come to our Minis of Miami meets? We have a Keys Run 2004 event scheduled for this coming Saturday Oct 9th. Check our website (Link in my signature) and message board for more info. Don't miss it!!!

White is practical, but boring! Pepper White is pretty! Especially with a black roof!

chile white!!

I saw an all CW MCS w/ a full areo kit (and lot's of other stuff) and it was terrifc! True white is not as rich and distinctive. The Cooper in PW is one of the only white cars I could see myself driving (911 being the other.)
-BMW has done several whites in the last 10 years (Alpine white being the one of most popular) and they all seems too stark and tend to flatten the sculptural masses of the car. Maybe BMW will learn from the Pepper white: it brings out the best of the design!

Bravo PW!

I HATE white cars. Hate, hate, hate them.

BUT

I was honestly enamored with the PW coopers. I was kind of sad that it wasn't an option for me, as it wasn't offered when I bought my MCS. I think the creamy white color with teh chrome is lovely -- much better than bright white. Blecch.

im in the minority, but i do not like pw on mini, white roof looks good on the mini, but not entirely flat white, pw is unique color, just not my taste

now, white i think looks good on certain cars, white on a is300 looks uber nice, as is the impreza, celica, q45, and quite a few japanese cars looks great in white, perhaps partly their culture, and possibly cuze most cars in japan are white! (or silver, or black, i've seen only a handful of cars in other colors last time i was there)

I like white on some cars. For example, I fantasize about GP white S2000's, and Alpine white E36 //M3-4's. White Cavaliers and Grand Am's however, are just plain trashy. (no offense, of course, lol)

I agree! My 2004 PW/B MCS was the first to arrive at the dealer. I ordered it sight unseen and absolutely love it. Even though I like the black roof styling wise, it is a real bear to keep clean and spotfree.

I think pepper white is a good color for the MINI and like it better than the plain and common true white.

The only other white I like is a pearlescant white but that's more expensive than a solid color.

 This past week, I've seen 3 Pepper White BMW Z4s! I prefer the color on our MINIs, though. It is a lovely rich and creamy color. Very classy!

I like the Premium whites Honda has for their TypeR cars. They are
a very sporty white. On a MINI though, a pure white color might
not bring as much personality as pepper white or some other shade
of white.

I think the white MINI used in The Italian Job looks great. Pepper White is also a nice color for the MINI, but much more subtle and elegant than a pure white. Someone here has a Pepper White and black MINI with black Flik wheels that looks awesome!

To me, pure white is much more of a racing and performance color than a tinted white which is more complex and subdued. As a matter of fact white with blue stripes (or accents) is the official racing color scheme of the US: http://www.teammiata.com/libs/race_colors.htm Look back over the old racing photos before the cars became just another corporate sponsored billboard, and you'll see the racing heritage of pure white. Remember Jim Hall's fantastic racing white Chapparals? I would give the "Italian Job White" a thumbs up!

I've got an all Pepper White MINI. The main reason was the sun down here in Fla Ive owned other cars with dark paint jobs but you can really tell the the differance with the lighter paint they dont get as hot. The only problem is you have to wear really cool sunglasses all the time.

MC 04 CVT PW/PW Sport/Premium, Bonnet stripes

If you order a MINI say, in a CR or BRG color with white top. Is the top white or is it PW?

Sign me up for one. I prefer white cars, having owned four of them (five if I count the white of my IB/W MCS). An all Alpine White (paint code 899, BMW's color for the MINI hood, mirrors and wheels) MINI would be great. Better than PW, IMO. So go ahead and build it, they will come.

The Alpine White just wouldn't make it with a black roof. All Alpine White might be another story, but I'd have to see it. I think the two tone color gives a MINI more character.
