So how many people are going down on Saturday. I am inclined to, but still have not made up my mind. I guess I have to figure it out fast if I want a room.

No room at the Inn? - Please remember that Hollister is just up the road (hwy 156) and should have plenty of vacancies.
Also - if traveling on 101, to San Juan Buatista, you can take the 129 exit East (San Juan Hwy) and come into town the back way.

Turn right on Watsonville Rd.
Turn left on Uvas Rd.
Uvas Rd. turns into McKean Rd.
Turn right on Harry Rd.
Turn left on Almaden Expwy.
You can take Almaden Expwy to 85 or 87
This route will take you by 2-lakes, a few wineries and a couple of golf courses.
This road has some nice curves - just watch out for bikes and wild turkeys.
Travel time between San Juan Bautista & San Jose is approximately 1 hour.
If anyone is going to the Central Valley - take Hwy 25 S of Hollister to J1
Follow J1 to I5 - it's a long way to go but this road has some of the sharpest hairpin turns I've ever been on.
Well I plan on leaving the Santa Rosa area at about 9am Saturday morning heading south on 101. If anyone else is heading south Saturday and want to meet somewhere let me know.
I will be going down with just one car. Janet will stay home and baby sit the dogs, cat, & pig.

Well, we just got back from SJB. This event was a blast, and we had 9 MINI's on hand for the show today. Yesterday, there was a NICE 85 mile drive through the hills around the San Juan Bautista and Morgan Hill area. What a trip to be in line on the back roads with all of those old classic Brit 2-seaters. There were 4 MINI's in this run, including the lead car! Last night we had margaritas and Mexican food in historic SJB.
Today's show wasn't dampened much by the morning rain, and for the most part, the classic car owners were very receptive to the "late model" MINI's that participated. Many of them had questions for us, and some even secretly want to own one some day, even if they have to wait 30 years to get one!
There were a couple of "Trailer *******"* on hand with snide comments, but in the end, the MINI marque made a great showing.
It is great to hang out with so many nice MINI people!
* Trailer *****= those guys who never drive their car. They bought it already restored, or paid someone to do it for them. They haul it around from show to show on a trailer, and never use it for getting the groceries or taking the kids to Little League. Most are in a mid-life crisis, and are compensating for a lack of stamina in other areas.
