As I understand it the 2003 s I'm getting shortly, ya that's what they all say, comes prewired for xm radio. Does anyone know of a good system to instail and keep my steering wheel working?

 

Actually, the 2003 ones will be prewired for Sirius Satellite radio, not XM. Sirius has a deal with BMW.

If you upgrade your deck and want to maintain your steering wheel controls you will want:

PAC SWI-X

it will run you about $50. I have one installed and it works great.

Wouldn't recommend Sirius as it has much more financial problems than XM. Also, XM has a few hundred thousand more subscribers, so it's more likely to last.
