Any ETA on 05 Works Package?

I checked with my Mini dealer and they say no part number or pricing exists yet and thus no lead time/ETA.. Anybody heard anything else on this from inside Mini. I've seen the bit on Gabe's Motoring File website, and my MA drove a 05 works MCS at the training in Minneapolis, but that's about all I know.

They actually delayed it because they had to recall some of the 05 JCW kits....something wrong with the ECU i believe

I just want the uprated injectors and the CAI. If the "upgrade kit" for existing JCW owners can be purchased as a stand-alone item, it'd be just the thing to compliment the shiny new pulley I have sitting on the bench and waiting to be installed!

I'm picking up my car this weekend and my dealer in CA also doesn't have a 2005 kit in stock.

We're a bit worried right now but I told them I'd do a '04 kit at $1500 off the '05's installed price. I figure if it costs $1000 even to get the upgrade installed I'm still $500 ahead.

I just hope my car will be all "Worked" up at delivery.

Is there really a delay? I haven't heard this confirmed yet. Just some speculation. People in Europe already have them installed. I would have assumed that Gabe would have reported this, if it was true.

As an answer to my own question... the Works 05 kit now has a part number and a price> $4,650 (if memory serves). Ship date is scheduled for end of October. (I assume from UK)

It seems there may have been a delay on the kit and it's availability was pushed back a few weeks. Nothing major though.
