Adding more stripes/decals + ClearBra

Ok, now that I've had the Countryman for a few months I want to add a couple more stripes to the boot and maybe a decal to the small side panels. Is the dealer the best place to do this?

And any tips on where to get extra decals. I've seen a couple places online but I am also looking for something specific (small Colorado flag) and don't see it so I'm wondering if I can get a custom one done.

I guess I should also ask: ClearBra, good? I'm in Colorado so we do get some rocks but also worried about all the sun fading part of it.

Thanks in advance!

Steve

Sorry, should have clarified...I see websites to buy stripes and the larger decals but not many small or custom ones. Steve

I used an independent shop and it was a multiple cluster fruck and I ended up with a crap job. I gave up. Dealer would have cost more but I would have been saner at the end.

you say "more" stripes... are you talking custom stripes ?

you should be able to track down a custom wrap and vinyl guy locally pretty easily.

i installed a clear bra on my '12 4 years ago and it is still holding up great. a couple of the edges are a little picked up and dirty, but for a DIY install it's lasted longer than i expected and had saved countless rock hits to the front end.

Hmm..good question. Probably the standard ones would be fine since that is what is on the hood.

There are a couple authorized ClearBra dealers here so I may go that route. Although our Mini dealer does well with service. Never used them for design though.

Thanks!

Is that for decals or the bra? I only ask because we have a couple authorized dealers for the bra.

Thanks - Steve

IIRC the cost of having a local shop do the clear bra was pretty absurd. i found the precut film and watched a weeks worth of install videos. i wouldn't say i installed it perfectly, but i'm pretty type A about that kinda stuff and it looks good to me. on another note i do remember even with what i thought was good prep work being completely underprepared to handle that size sheet of film and spray, adjust, and work out bubbles and recruited my wife and a neighbor mid install.

seems more than 5 years ago...
