2015 vs 2017 functionality
I got a 2017 Cooper S Hardtop loaner from the dealership today and I want to know if the infotainment and auto airconditioner would function differently. My 2015 JCW Hardtop has been buggy as crap ever since I got it. Playing music through bluetooth or over the USB cable rarely works without using my phone to press play or switch songs. I have an iPhone 4S which I know is old but it works flawlessly in other vehicles including the loaner I just got. The other thing I noticed with the loaner is when I turn off the AC it stays off when I turn off the car and back on again. My car turns it back on when the car starts. Does anyone know if I have a warranty claim? The dealership is just saying that the newer cars have been tweaked to work differently. I really could care less about the AC, but my music is another thing. Any info would be great. Thanks
I have a 2016 JCW hardtop and my iPhone 5 works flawlessly plugged in or with the bluetooth connection. I'm running the current iOS software 10.2.1
When I run the AC and turn it off, it does not turn on automatically when I restart the car.

According to the dealership there isn't any software upgrades but there is a thread on here about a software upgrade and the loaner car has it. I don't know what the upgrade fixes but the thread mentions something about the key fob and the boot and temp gauge and green mode gauge.

NOt me. My 2015 MCS works as advertised. Sounds like issues unique to your car.
Your dealership's answer sounds like he's "blowing you off" and hoping you buy it.
