I've noticed recently, small oily spots on outside of windshield <2mm dia. and can't figure out where they are coming from.. No leaks or oil spots under the hood and oil filter cap and hoses all tight as well as oil filler cap. I have the Alta CAI and catch can but can't see any evidence of oil from there.. Can't figure out where the little guys are coming from.. Not a huge amount but enough to see on the glass after drive for a while. Any guesses or similar experiences.

 

They are more than likely coming from either cars and trucks in front of you on the highway, or if you live near an airport, from the planes overhead. I get them from both sources, and even cleaning the glass with glass cleaner does not get the stuff off. I end up using laquer thinner on the glass to get the smeary mess off, then follow up with glass cleaner.
