Hello and a Hoodscoop color question.

Hello everyone I picked up a real nice used 2015 thunder gray metallic cooper s with 8k mi a few weeks ago and am loving the car so far. One thing I have noticed is that the Hoodscoop is just a matte bare gray plastic where I see others that are painted the same color as the car and shiny. Was this an option or what?
Thanks

Should have been painted, or someone replaced it with the stock one and did not paint it. Check to see if someone plasti dip'd it.

The original was probably replaced with that one, which should have been painted.

If you don't want to pay to have it painted to match the car, I suggest just buying one of the Chrome or Carbon Fiber ones to swap it out with.

Yep, the carbon fiber one is very nice. chrome one linked also. Other then that you could wrap it or paint it something else.

I had mine painted black the same time I had the grill trim painted.

Thanks for the replys everyone all your cars look real good. The carbon fiber does look cool but way to expensive for me. I'm looking to possibly get a painted one, but if not I'll probably plasti dip it black and see how I like it.

I know this is an old thread, but vetsvette, where did you get that front stripe? I ended up going with the standard stripes on the bonnet, but that single stripe looks good.

It's actually dual stripes with ~1" of space between them. They are a custom set done by my body man.
