Dinan or NM Upgrade to Clubman All4

Just recently purchased a 2017 Clubman All4. Any recommendations on Dinan versus NM upgrade?

I suggest you start here:

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ml#post4234314

Then read "Power Up" in the Third Generation JCW section.

Then https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d-clubmen.html

I have the Dinan on my Clubby S All4. I like the 3 or 4 PSI choices and switchability via blue tooth. NM has a higher PSI option, as does the JB. JB gives more driver selection options and converts the fuel gauge to a boost meter. The NM is switched at the box under the hood. All are solid products.

Either one is good, the specs of the boost are in that thread above. The bluetooth switchable is a good perk on the Dinan.

Has anyone heard if any Mini dealerships will become Dinan dealerships?

I know there are a number of BMW dealerships that also sell and support Dinan tunes. Meaning the dealership installs the products and supports them should an issue arise.

Not sure about the Dinan Sport tunes as these appear to be targeted to the owner w/ a 1 year warranty on the tuner (or something like that).

The dealer installed items (BMW) are piggybacked onto the manufacturers warranty for full coverage should something go awry. It's basically a Dinan warranty that covers you for the 4 year 50K factory coverage should an engine part fail where BMW may not cover it because of the tune.

Hoping to see that this happening in the future.

Shop forman at MINI Portland told me they used to install Dinan and were considering doing so again. Next time I went he was gone as forman, so I couldn't follow up with him. Bought it from ECS.

That is excellent news. I'm looking to buy a JCW AWD Clubman when 2018's become available. A warrantied Dinan dealer installed tune would be perfect.

FWIW I'm waiting for the Stage 1 tune for my M240i to hit my BMW dealership too. Sometime this quarter I've been told.

Not a rush as I'd rather see a later arrival w/o zero issues than one that may throw codes or CELs.

yep I heard this as well, great news. There are some MINI dealers that are selling the Dinan sport units now from what I have seen, however a full warranted Dinantronic MINI box like the BMW counterparts would be awesome!
