Car wont start. New battery in it

Ok guys.
Had the battery replaced 2 weeks ago.
Went for a run and all was good. At the bank the car started, but like it was struggling.
Then I went home and the car didnt start. Just when turning the key nothing happens.
We pushed the car to start and when I cam back home, turned the car off and then nothing.
What could be the issue?
I turn the key and nothing. Dont hear a cklick or anything.
The battery light is not on

The car is a 2005 R53

What year is it ?

If its a 2007 or newer you need to register the battery and on some 2005 and 2006......REALLY....not kidding.
They have an " Intelligent Battery Monitor" attached to the battery cable. You can call mini with the Vin# to see. Or just open the hood
I learned this last week. CRAZY. Been driving 40 YEARS...never heard of this.
A mini dealer has to do this. They "" link" the battery with all the electronics so the battery recognizes the car.
I am told..only BMW...MINI.....and Mercedes are the only ones that do this.

Also could be bad alternator. That can be checked at an Independent garage.

good Luck....

could be a bad alternator not charging the battery

you bought a new one and have run off that for a couple of weeks but now the battery is kaput (again)

get the alternator checked

in the US this is a freebie at most decent parts stores or garages ....

the battery registry issue should only result in reduced battery performance .. not NO performance ... and since we're in the GEN1 section and can assume the post is correctly placed ... should not be an issue ....

What about the starter. Could it be the starter?

does it start with a jump?

(jumper cables to a good battery)

if yes, it is not the starter .....

check the alternator output .......

Also go back to step 1. Make sure the battery cables are on tight. Don't ask how I know that after a battery change.

My son's 04S acted exactly the same when the ground came loose in the engine bay.................... and it "seemed" tight when I saw the sparks fly from it.

I believe that there must be at least 13.1 volts being produced by the alternator for the battery to stay charged.

I went outside and did some checking.
The fuse RL7 is ok
After trying to start it and another person listened to the starter no sound comes from it. Any ideas?
