R50/53 Vents on Dash hot!
if you have auto a/c, try turning the auto system on, then turn the recirc (bottom) button on, then turn the a/c button (middle snowflake) off. That has been discussed to stop the hot air and does so with some effect.
Don't know why it does that...heat in the cabin in Florida summers is not welcome

hot air
I have an early 04 S and have the same problem.
I usually do't use the ac.
It's worse when car is hot.
I did notice an increase in heat after I put in the Alta CAI.
Do you have one?
Or have you mod'ed the engine compartment?

i'm bumping this thread as i noticed the same thing the other day. it's chilly out, about 45 and i turned off the climate control as the car was in the sun and it was ok inside... next thing i know i'm getting hot air blown in my face with the auto climate completely off... is it from the engine or what??
i turned on the auto and then shut off the air and it was ok, but still, what the heck?
thanks

Even if your ACC is off, it will still push hot air if it was heating the cabin when you turned it off.
Try turning on the ACC and setting it to "LO" for about 20 seconds. Then turn the whole thing off. The air coming out of the vents should be approximately outside air temperature.
I had this same question when I got my MCS. It's just a weird quirk of the ACC, not a malfunction.
