E717 Fault Code

Hi
2008 R56

My mechanic baffled by E717 Fault Code on the OBD reader, what does it mean?

I think the blender flap which mixes cold and warm air is not responding properly and so I am getting warmer air from the air con than I should have as it is producing 6 degree cool air. Whereabouts is the blender door under the dash? We were checking the OBD in case there was a fault code thrown by the flap.

Here's a link to codes --- https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/ Note that your "E" series of code isn't listed. It also doesn't show in the Bentley manual. Are you sure this is a legitimate code --- not a typo?

I got this too - 2008 BMW 128i

Been thinking my blend door is broken for a while now, and seeing this thread almost confirms it.

The heat in the car is awful, it blows warm but barely. Way cooler than my friend's BMW 1 series

I have E717, too, on my 2009 R56 and the AC doesn't get cold. I don't think I hear the compressor clutch anymore, either. Has anyone figured out what this code exactly means?
