production number

I ordered my CR/W MCS yesterday and the production number was right on the copy of the order that the dealer gave me. When I tried to register on the owners lounge at miniusa.com this morning, it said that my production number was for a PS MCS. Is there already a problem with my order, or does it take a while for Mini to get their files updated? Even if it takes them a few days, shouldn't my production number just show as invalid or something?

I believe that production numbers are initially assigned a model and color. Give it a couple of days.... your number will update with the correct info.

I had the same thing happen last year when I ordered mine. I noticed that the Owner's Lounge lagged a few days behind throughout the entire process. Give it a couple of days and then if it doesn't match, contact your MA. Mine was correct after three or four days, I think.

Where did you end up ordering your car from ? I placed my order for a 05 CR/B MCSC through Mini of St Louis yesterday, but when I tried my production number it told me I was not in the system yet - hmmmmm? I'll give it a few days and see what happens. When is yours due to come in ? My MA told me early December.
I just sold my 03 MCS on Friday and I am already experiencing "mini-withdrawls".

I ended up ordering at Mini of St. Louis. My M.A. is Tony Jones, who seems like a pretty decent guy. He said they should have my MCS by the first or second week of November. Then a day or two to install the JCW kit.:smile:

MINIUSA website is...IMO...for an award winning site that is indeed very well constructed...worthless when it comes to tracking your car. ASKMINI is another story. Very helpful.

My MCSC is scheduled to come out of production week 41. Last Friday I changed the color spec from CB to LY. Saw my MA on Sunday and he told me that the change was put through...but we're in some kind of final stage and further changes, should there be any, would have to happen almost immediately.

Since 8/21 when we put in and got our PN....MINIUSA reports us as On Order..

Your on screen spec will be corrected in a day or so...
