Sprint Booster Verison 3 for $230

Came across this - a new version of Sprint Booster with more settings.

https://www.telematica-us.com/produc...or-Mini-Cooper

The price is right. Has anyone purchased from Telematica? Is $230 to good to be true?

I know Mini Mania is now selling Version 3 for $289.

Thanks in advance.

Looks like a good deal, but I've always wondered if this is an improvement over "Sport" mode that came with the car. I know it has some extra bells and whistles, but the chances of me giving my car to a valet are slim-to-none.

the question is if you want this to add more power or if you're unhappy with the pedal response.

- I want more power: this won't add ANY power at all....this is fact.
- i feel my pedal is laggy: move to sport mode
- i'm still not happy: then buy this.

I'm still not happy in Sport mode. I feel the pedal response can be a little more responsive in Sport mode. Mid Mode is too "laggy" for me and there is no way to default to Sport when starting the car.

Looks like version 3 allows for more flexibility for dialing in the throttle response for my driving style. I'm not a "petal to the metal" driver but would like to complement the two mods on my F56 MCS the JCW Tuning Kit and NM Power Module.

Personally I've always felt that Sport-Mode is pretty much instantaneous. I often revert back to Mid in city traffic because Sport is just too responsive. I have an automatic transmission and Sport-Mode + Sport Auto is pretty much drive-by-cable - like.

My F56 sport mode is also snappy, much improved from our Countryman.

That's what's frustrating for me. My '15 F56 does not have the same snappy response. I can feel difference when I drive '16 Mini loaners when my car is being serviced. I swear the drive-by-wire throttle mapping is not the same between the '15s and '16s, Also in the below thead the OP is experiencing the same drive-by-wire issues with his '15.

Never had a problem with my '15. Sounds like something to talk to the dealer about if it's not working.

Might want to check software level of car vs. 2016 you drove. Mine is a 14 to complicate matters.

Did talk to the service manager about the throttle lag in my '15 compared to the '16 loaners. He said they were more responsive because of how people were driving the cars. Meaning they have a tendency to be heavy footed and the car's drive-by-wire adapts to the person's driving habits. He said I need to mash on the gas pedal in my car around town to get the throttle to adapt to a more aggressive driving style. I think he was giving me the run around.

Mine is F056-16-03-504. Do not know how recent that version of firmware is.

Just a heads up: the company selling the Sprint Booster for $230 is overseas. The warranty and return policy for those are not valid in the U.S. as the company logs serial numbers for those sold here. Hope this helps!
