I saw those on Ebay too...tempting. I just see it as alot of work to change the parts out.

Me too. Plus expense. I think it might look good on a black Mini, but it simply does not look good on any other color. It is an amazing product however. I would love to see a photo of a black Mini with all these parts installed.

I plan to get them painted... save some weight, and no one will ever know

^^^...and there goes Pilo's original theory of low-cost improvements

The CF parts are certainly interesting, however, how much and who makes them?

They are from ViS racing. They were discussed a couple days ago on another thread here on NAM.

Some times, you may not be able to get an equal quality part at a low cost....

We still believe in the right price for the right price

im thinking about getting that CF hood, although I do not see that they make one for the MC just the MCS. With other threads talking about "rice" and what not, does anyone think that it would be a bad idea for me to get that hood and put it on my MC? It seems that manufacturers either have one in development or that they arent even goin gto make one for the MC

for rice, i dont believe cf hood will do that.... one can make a long argument that cf hood lowers weight very little, yet in the same time it does lower weight.... people tie rice to cf hood cuze there are many civics and other cars with it....

as for not one for the cooper maybe there's just a bigger market for a cf hood for S owners... not that there isn't for the cooper i just think they are out to make money and making one for the cooper maybe in the end wouldn't justify the expense... just my theory

i'd love to get a cf hood, and get it painted...

I believe the weight reduction for the hood is in the neighborhood of 20lbs

If your worried about the "Rice factor" just have it painted!

Wow!!! price isn't bad either. Vis racing has always had good stuff. Definitely interested. All I would do is to paint it.

Why Not put the CF MCS hood on the MC ? There's no reason why it wouldn't fit, is there ?
my 2 cents !

It would fit, but the cooper owners don't want to be "S" Look-A-Likes.... They have there own style, and want a company to embrace that, and give them something that they can use. I that that is what they want. I will talk to some people, and see what might become possible.
