Mini Training

I have just come back from Minneapolis where I attended the Convertible training shin dig for all MINI people...( sales, service etc)

All I can say is wow, we got to drive the first 2 JCW Cooper S's ....210hp...holy cow....did we have fun. When it's not your car and it's owned by MINI and you are told to drive it like a crazy friiging idiot, well actually know one told me to drive it like that but I tried my hardest to!
It blew my mind....!

We were only there 2 days which wasn't long enough, but I met a bunch of the nicest people, all pasionate about the MINI. We may only be salesman / women but we all love what we do, big difference.

To anyone who reads this and met me 14th/15th September...I apologize for anything I may have said as Tuesday night is still a bit of a haze! And I'm British which explains everything.....

If everyone went on the course, the world would be full of MINI's..

I LOVE THIS SITE.....

Mark

I went on wave 0 and had a blast. I won the memory watch from the scavenger hunt also. Our group was the smallest so it was a little easier to win I suppose. I was impressed with how nice Hieka is in person. I have been to "let's meet" and "motorvation" with J.T and Frank so it was good to see them again (both stand up guys). I always look forward to MINI functions like that, it's great to be around people with common interests. I have to admit, the second time I rode the "back and forth" roller coaster I almost got to see my lunch. I wish that we could have taken the Works car on a strait away to really appreciate the power. (I think I had the "cone record", the DSC got turned off and I didn't notice). Anyway, good times eh?

Great to hear about your test drives and recent training.
Our local MAs were also impressed.
Now we just need to get in more MINIs to all those who want to go motoring.
Cabrio here we come!
We get to see our first ones in about a week.
We've got some time delay before thngs arrive out here

Race car Granny!

We stopped by Niello MINI the other day to see the new Cabrios, and say hello to our MA, Paul. Afterward, as we were driving out, we saw an elderly couple drive out in their new Cabrio that they had just purchased. From a stop light, I kinda stood down on the gas and whipped out, waving goodbye to the oldsters, then slowed down to the speed limit of 45MPH. BUT, not to be outdone, the granny driving the new Cabrio gunned it and went flying past us, grandpa in the passenger seat grinning ear to ear.
I hope I have that much spunk when I'm a retired old duffer! It did my heart good to see them enjoying the spirit of the MINI at their age!

Well, I'm a "retired old duffer" (64 in 10 days) and I drive it like I stole it. I love it. But, I should not have gotten LY/B as it stands out too much to the police (just got a letter from the DMV saying basically "We're watching you"

Dang - I LIVE here and I totally missed hearing about it! Where was it at? Do you have any pics?

We have the launch party for the convertibles tonight. My wife and I get to drive the Hot Orange one to the event. I can't wait!

Yeah, our MA said it was a blast. I can't wait for our JCW kit. Only a few more weeks. The '05's are already wicked fast, the Works kit will be a rocket.

I have PW and LY was my second choice. After being cut off a couple of times, I wish I had ordered the LY for safety reasons. Other drivers really do see you. I also found that LY looks MUCH better in person...
