Is there away to send an address from google maps from an outside computer to the gps systm in the car. I can do this with my wife's bmw

Yes, well sorta. Not from a computer per say, but from your smart phone. You need to have Mini Connected XL app. Then you can use google maps app or apple maps app to send a location to the car. Once you start the car and plug in your smart phone, the navigation will ask you if you'd like to start guidance to the most recent location received.
