Topeka Results are coming up

Looks like it was a MINI/Celica battle in GS. Toyota winning in GS and MINI in GSL.
HS not up yet. No MINI's in SM.
Congrat's to the trophy winners - I look forward to hearing from them!

SCCA SOLO Championships

Wasn't that a 2nd in STX by Courtney Cormier in an '03 MCS?

Actually I think Courtney ended up 3rd, but either way, it was an EXTREMELY impressive showing considering it was raining throughout most of his heat(heat 1). They actually shut down that heat after run 2 due to lightning!! Heck, I'm not quite sure how he was able to do so well against the WRX's in the wet!

Unfortunately, heat 2 consisted of wet throught the heat as well(not raining, just REAL wet at start), the Celica's seemed to favor the sweepers in the wet even more than they do in the dry. Ian Baker drove exceptionally well in GS and was the Top Mini driver for the event, those Toyo tires seemed to work well in standing water, Ian had the lead after the first run. Then Robert Carpenter nailed a GREAT 2nd run on his ecsta V700's, and we won't even talk about Carpenters third run which dropped another 1/2 second! Heck, I think the Celica's need a bump to DS if you ask me!!

Overall, it was a GREAT nationals and definitely some enjoyable memories, nice to meet you guys that I did, and I'm sure I'll see you all down the road!!!

HS Results

Motoring and Junkman, two SCCA Northwest Region competitors did quite well with a first and fifth, respectively. Congratulations Keith and Abe!!! Great results! And people wonder why I would want to be in STS.

Courtney ended up in 2nd, two years in a row now, in MY car and had the fastest time on the North course in the wet. He had to lay down a conservative third run on the south course after getting cones on his first two runs. What happened to me this year after last years 8th place finish is beyond me.

If you check the link to the posted resluts you will see, if you look closely, that the total time listed for the first place finisher does not add up and in fact Tom Hoppe in a WRX won.

I am thinking about selling my MCS but haven't decided on a price yet, but it will not include my SSR's and I may want to or be willing to remove some of my mods. Interested parties please contact me.
