JCW Steering Wheel

Hi guys,

When I purchase my car I didnt get the JCW steering wheel because I completely forgot :(. I just installed the JCW tuning kit and while I was at the dealer I saw the JCW Steering and OMG it feels so good in your hands!

Question is it too hard to replace the steering on the car? My car is Auto and the JCW Steering I found online is the one without the paddle shifters so I guess the connection is the same. If so how do I do that?

Dunno, but something I'd have the dealership do. You supply the part and only pay for the labor. For me, too many variables and connections to chance. Course, if you're handy I'm sure there are exploded views of the steering wheel and column install.

Good luck with your project.

Is the quality of the leather on the MINI Yours/JCW steering wheel the same as that on the standard steering wheel? Is the essential difference the thumb nubs, or is there more to it than that? Serious replies, please. 😉

The mini yours is far superior to the JCW trust me. I have it on my JCW.
More of finer quality leather and a softer feel to touch, unsure how this will last if not cared for.
I’ll try and take a closer photo to post.
The wheel comes with light grey stitching instead of red.
And also Piano gloss black on the inserts as opposed to matt black.
No small JCW badge at the bottom of the wheel (red logo JCW) just a balck and white union jack flag.

Thank you. So, the leather feel is more akin to BMW or Audi models? I've noticed that they feel different/better than whatever my MINI is using. I sat in lots of vehicles at the car show, and noticed the difference acutely.

the MINI yours steering wheel is nice with the high gloss and the silver/white stitching.

For the F56 is just a sawp. Some people where trying to figure out how to swap on the paddles also if you have them ).

I do not as I have not taken my steering wheel off, I'm just talking about the single nut that holds the steering wheel on.

The reason I want to see it is to see the material and size. In general BMW suggests 60 foot pounds it's easy to determine what it should be.
