2013 JCW Auxiliary Gauges.

Hi Guy's,
I'm pretty damn confused!
I have a 2013 R56 LCi JCW Mini.
I wanted the Auxiliary gauges fitted and my local BMW/mini dealer said they won't fit my car????!!!!!!
This can't be right.....can it??
I'm sure I've read somewhere that people have fitted them, can any of you help?
Many thanks.

I have a 2013 JCW and I have a relative torque and coolant temp gauge installed. Looking at the window sticker it was installed from the factory so I'm not sure what they are talking about.

What is a LCi?

Last year, I saw a video about the OEM gauge kit installation on a HT. The wiring harness had to be spliced with special connectors.

This is not a plug and go kit and if I can remember they don't fit very well with the overall dash layout.

The dash vent pods efficiency is seriously compromised with this installation.

This is the reason I never went through with them.

LCI = life cycle impulse = BMW's fancy term for facelift 2011-2013 R56s

You are spot on with the dash vent problem. I am getting slowly used to the right driver's vent not being able to cool down my face because that damn gauge is in the way. I would uninstall it but I like having the coolant gauge to tell me when the car is warm enough to pop and I don't want to go through the hassle of placing it on the other side and removing the other gauge which is plain useless.

Hmm, I'd happily give fitting them a go myself, if I knew someone who had done the job.
It's always easier if someone can advice on any areas that may cause problems.....before you get there yourself!

Well........ I can live without the gauges. The Mini dash is ugly enough without them as added eyesores.

My priority is cabin ventilation and comfort and my A/C is always on all year around. From my experience, the overall performance is just average, nothing more.

If one dash vent is restricted from blowing properly, this is a problem that become a major issue with the A/C sensors to balance the cabin pressure.

A Scangauge would address all your issues about monitoring functions and then some.

Is the display color can be matched with the exact Orange Mini of the tach and speedo?

I fit the coolant temp on my Roadster. Not the easiest job but definitely not hard. There are a few posts about it. Here's pics of mine. I couldn't have the double setup because of the openometer, but mount points are the same (they sent me the wrong bracket and I installed it before I figured it out).
