JCW + Alta Access Port stg 2 questions

Can't seem to find this info on their website so:

What do I need to run Alta stage 2? Is a 3" dp necessary, or is 2.5 uncatted OK? Hot side tubing? FMIC?

Thanks,
Roby!

I don't think a 3" is necessary but a full 2.5" throughout is a must.

Here's a description of one of the "Stage 2" versions that came with my unit, the "-MCS Stage 2 91oct H810B TPS.ptm" version ---
"Alta Performance, v0.00 -- -MCS manual tranny, with H810B ECU, for MCS with 3" Turboback Exhaust and no other aftermarket parts, running 91 or better fuel. 7000 rev limit and launch set to 4500. Linear type throttle on non sport and super linear throttle on sport mode."

The other version is without "TPS" in the title, and is the same except for the last sentence which is "Stock throttle mapping."

Stage 1 is for stock MCS --- no aftermarket parts, and has similar throttle mapping versions, PLUS the option for a larger FMIC. I was sent 4 different versions of stage 1 --- with and without FMIC.

Stage 3 also has similar throttle mapping versions, wants a larger FMIC, AND the 3" Turboback Exhaust.

I didn't get any stage 4 maps, they might not have been available --- I don't remember. There was also a "Stage 0 - for use when stock-like behavior is desired."

Substituting a 2.5" for the 3" exhaust would probably not be a good idea. Considering there's no more support for the AP, you're relying on input from forum members. With all the variables in what's installed, usage, workmanship, etc, you're better off with another tune system, i.e., Manic. Yes, I'm happy with my AP, BUT, I never used any of the available stages --- I went straight to a dyno tune, by Jeff Perrin at the Cobb facility, near Portland, OR. And now my AP is used as the "base" map for a Manic tune.

Thank you both for your input. I think I have all the same maps as you on my AP, stg 0, multiple versions of 1, 2 and 3, but for JCW instead of MCS. I guess 3" would be even more important on JCW considering the description you provided, so that's what I'm going to do. Thanks!

I have a JCW with the 3" turbo back exhaust, helix IC, hot side Alta turbo turbo pipe, AEM CAI , I'm running stage 3. Car feels very fast. I have not dynoed. From what people have told me should be around 250-270HP estimate. I also have craven speed short shifter.
