Reverse Instead of Second

I picked up my MCS a few weeks ago and have gotten pretty used to it by now, but I'm having a terrible time trying to heel toe from 3rd to 2nd. I get caught in the reverse gate every single time. I kid you not it is effortless, I don't feel any sort of lock out when coming from 3rd gear. The odd thing is that when I'm stopped and in neutral it takes a bit of effort to get the shifter left into the reverse section. It seems like there have been a few people that have had a similar experience? Is there any sort of adjustment for this, or an aftermarket reverse lockout?

Before I get torn apart for shifting too hard, I'm not power shifting or anything. I know it's a light FWD transmission, not a T56. I'm not getting any sort of crunching or negative feedback from the syncros, so I truly don't believe I'm out pacing the car.

Thanks!

+1 the exact same thing happens to me. When my cars cold there is a little resistance going into reverse but when it warms up and I'm downshifting from 3rd to 2nd I get caught in the reverse gate

I've had it happen, too. I don't know of a solution though.

At least glad to see I'm not the only one.

CAE Ultra Shifter with reverse lockout is the only solution I have come across. Very nice and priced accordingly. Otherwise, I wonder if stiffer tranny/engine mounts would help. I only have the problem when revving into a downshift. The effort needed when stopped is satisfactory. Another idea would be a short shifter to decrease leverage and therefore make it harder to go into the reverse gate.
