Smile Body colour Front Headlight Bezel and Rear Tail Light w/Pics

Ordered these online, they did not have body colour OEM front nor rear bezels.

I wanted to subdue the front end, and smooth out the rear, going with body colour bezels.

Did you paint these yourself? I like the look. I've had my eye out for some thunder grey trim for some time, but as yet, no luck.

Are these actual replacements or stick on covers? I would appreciate the link if you don't mind. Thanks.

how much...

Nice. Just curious, how much to paint?

Were they removed from the vehicle, painted, and then put back? I know the Original are chrome plated, how do you paint over chrome?

Cheers

They look really nice, but I just bit the bullet and ordered Black Line headlight and tail light rings from my dealer parts guy. He beat anything I found on line and also had the JCW Pro spoiler extensions in stock. I should have them all by Monday.

I got the best price - family discount. My father-in-law has a body shop. I gave him the pieces and paint codes, and he did the rest. I asked how much this job would cost, and he didn't give me an answer.

I removed all the pieces myself. I also had the gas cap painted in thunder grey.

I love the look of your JCW! It's lowered isn't it?...makes the 17" black track spokes look the part imo! Those are the only 17" wheels I like on the JCW!

I found them here on New MINI Stuff. I don't know if they're the same ones you have but they look like they're good quality. It would only cost you $400 to order the headlight/ taillight surrounds plus the front grill surround in body color.

C'mon now, pull the trigger........PAINT THE WHEEL ARCHES.
I think only one person has shown they did that to an F56, maybe a guy from the UK quite a while ago. It's one of the best looking Mini mods. I think it costs like $2000 though.

mid belt line

My next must do, is blacking out the mid belt line.

My issue is, the cost of the shipping to order online, is the cost of the product (I am in Canada)....

if anybody knew the actual size and width...

Cheers,

I would do it with PlastiDip...much easier. We tried to use the blackout beltline tape from outmotoring and it was a PITA...it's possible that we're simply not skilled enough to get the tape to line up properly without bubbles. The hardest part of the plastidip was taping off the whole car, but ultimately it looks great and was stress free.

Hey thanks for the tip. Tell me, does it last? How long has it been since you applied it. Does it look any different from BEFORE and AFTER? You have any pics?

Sounds just as difficult, to tape off above the chrome line, and below the chrome line to in order to mask off the appropriate area, does it not?

Cheers
