NM vs Forge Short Shift Kit

Anyone have any thoughts/opinions/experiences with either of these? Trying to get a general comparison. I know that the forge is adjustable whereas the NM is just specific 20mm reduction. Any input would be great!

Cheers!

Of you're open for an option hat's a little more expensive I would suggest you look at the Cravenspeed short shifter. I had one in my R56 and liked it so much that it was one of my first mods after picking up my F56.

Vet.

What boot are you using with your short shifter? I heard the old boot would not work as it was too short.

It's the same boot. The shifter is adjusted to it's shortest setting in the picture. It's actually a little long.

I actually like the stock height of the shifter so I went with the NM. The shifter on my JCW originally really bothered me as the shifts were so long. I actually missed several shifts when I first got it and ground the gears a bit, something I have not done in a car in a long time.

The NM, to me, is perfect. The feel is great and very clear as to what gear you are going into. It does stiffen the feel a bit, but not much since you still have the same height.

My advice, get the NM, install it which is pretty easy, try it, and if you don't like it, switch to something else and sell the NM. I am sure someone will buy it.
