MINI/BMW tool for parking brake

Looks like a job I have to do...pulled the parking brake all the way up and nothing, probably the cables. When I did brakes last year, had to replace right rear rotor...
Anyway, does anyone have this tool that they can borrow out?? Obviously I'll cover shipping and return, more than likely with a Starbucks card or some sort of beverage. In Milwaukee area, so quite a good selection of microbrews...

The tool for the cable at the handle end or the rear caliper wind-back tool?

I did this without the special tool at the handle end. If you don't need to reuse the special cable holding clip, you can just pry it out with a big screwdriver.

I didn't know there was more than one.
Can it be done without either?
Just saw a post with only one special tool.
Haven't had a chance to even look at my Bentley manual.

If you aren't going to change the pads at the same time, you don't need the wind-back tool.

Check to see if the cables come with the clips. I recall mine did. If so, just pry the old retaining clips off and you don't need the special tool.

I have a brake caliper tool, didn't link that!! DUH me.
I will check for the clips.
I will have the suspension done in a few weeks, so I may tackle this then.

The Bentley Manual covers the parking brake adjustment on page 340-28. Says to use BMW speciality tool kit 34 6 300 or equivalent. As it's used to turn the pistons while pressing in. The tool part number has a revised part number, which is HERE and is a bit pricey. I'm sure your tool should work just fine. If anyone stumbles upon this and needs other alternative options to the speciality tool, we have a lot HERE.
