R50/53 Coolong fan motor
Coolong fan motor
Hi,
My R53 cooling fan motor is not running. At first I thought it was the low-speed resistor, but by-passing this has no effect. The fan tries to turn but stops turning.
I've narrowed down the problem to be the actual motor and I'm wondering if anyone's found an alternative source for the motor. It looks very similar to a Nissan/Toyota.
Any ideas, most appreciated.

Just replace the entire fan...check rockauto.com...was under $100 for a long time....
Might have creapt up in $$, but compared to making a Frankenstein fan.....
Just saw the area you live...
Know rockauto shipps from various European and American warehouses... Not sure about down under.
Good luck....but the OEM units or even salvage are not crazy $$.

Replace the fan. Easy job.
