R50/53 Rear O2 issues
Rear O2 issues
So after a couple of days of commuting with a P2096 code, I had my car (05 R53, with 115k) properly scanned. We looked at the active volts/measurements of each O2 as the car was idling, and noticed that the post-cat 02 was barely functioning. The cat (oem) was replaced last year by the previous owner, along with the pre-cat O2. It didnt have any other codes, nor was she running any different. Ive checked for vacuum leaks and any cracks in the intake system, but found nothing...so far. Just in case- I purchased new intercooler boots, a fuel filter, and am looking to buy a rear O2.
Here's my question: does anyone have any experience/input on this O2 sensor sold by ECS? Does it throw codes? Fitment issues? Etc? Thanks.

I've had P2096 since I installed exhaust.
I replaced the O2 with an NTK (OEM) from rockauto. Didn't clear code, so mine is I'm sure a leak.
I've reset adaptations and ECU, so it's not programming.

I wasnt able to reset it with a store-bought scanner, so my buddy reset it with an Autologic (I think that was the unit). Hopefully an O2 will fix his issue. If not, time to start looking deeper for leaks. Good luck with your issue as well
You should check for any exhaust leaks or cracked manifold if you haven't already.
Even small leaks can throw a code!
Easiest way to do it is to wait for everything to cool down.
Get car in the air
Start it
Use spray bottle and go to town on exhaust with soapy water as quickly as possible.
You gotta be quick though, or the solution will evaporate off the hot exhaust
