Parts to Replace During Clutch Job

Hello everyone,

I am planning to do another clutch job (with single mass flywheel, new flywheel bolts, throw out bearing of course) in about two weeks, and I would like some advice as to which parts I should replace while doing this...

Here is what I have thought of so far:

Input Shaft Seal
Rear Main Seal
Clutch Fork Bushings
Throw Out Bearing Guide tube (necessary?)
Axle Shaft Seal

Anything I am missing, or really dont need above? I just want to tackle all of the (relatively) cheap stuff while I have the bell housing off to maximize the efficiency of this project

Also, I saw this gearbox seal rebuild kit on Ebay, and was curious if anyone has had experience with this? Would anyone recommend buying this kit?

Thanks for your help!

This is also a great time for an oil pan gasket, oil filter housing gasket, oil cooler o-rings, crank position o ring, oil dipstick o ring, valve cover gasket, serpentine belt, water pump o ring (consider changing water pump depending on your mileage) and change the oil in your supercharger. This will add about $100 to your job but you will not have to worry about any leaks for a long time. I just did this exact job last weekend and was amazed at how hard the gaskets were with only 45,000 miles (but 12 years old).

I'd suggest checking out our clutch super kits HERE. We have listed what comes in the kit , which is just about everything you'll want to replace while you're in there for the job. Let me know if you have any questions about them.

I would add upgrading to urethane mounts, power steering hoses, and order a second rear main seal. You don't want to find yourself at 2:00 on a Saturday with a seal you've fudged up and have to scramble madly to source one locally. Not that that has ever happened to me they're only $12-13. Good insurance if you ask me.

Write to Way, at Way Motor Works and ask him.

He not only sells the parts but does the service end also.

Typically we just do the guide tube, rear main, and input shaft seals. If the car hasn't had powerflex control arm bushings installed it is also a great time to do it.
You can also put the powerflex gearbox bushing in at the same time.

Otherwise if it isn't broke don't fix it.

We offer the seals and tube as add on to our valeo kit
