My first MINI JCW

Just picked up my first ever non-Audi car yesterday. a 2009 MINI JCW with 43k on her. I've owned a couple 400+ AWHP B5 S4 cars, and just from driving this for a day, I think I can say that it's more fun!

Just wanted to introduce myself and show off my first MINI.

Enjoy........... will it be your daily driver? It must be quite a shock from comfort and overall performance.

Thanks, yes this will be my daily. It's a slight interior downgrade, but I'll manage

I guess I'm not familiar with the packages on the R56, it's not like what I was used to like a B5 S4... It's a 6 speed with black cloth interior... I've used ECS plenty on my old cars, so I'm happy to be able to get anything else i need right from there again.

Nice, looks very clean.

Yea JCW Aero 1 body kit, with the rear fog light blanks . Black out grille trim, silver challenge wheels on a Factory JCW car. You dont have to go far for MINI parts , we have allot. And have MINI here now.
Thanks for coming back. Let me know if you need anything

Thanks, I plan on removing the bonnet stripes this weekend, wrapping the hood scoop black along with all the chrome on the car. Coil overs in the next month or so and possibly some Rota Grids.

Should look pretty decent.

You can try them but the spring (rates )weight are different and the heights are different.

R53 H&R

VS

R56 S / JCW

I would not do it. I would just get the correct springs for the JCW R56.

I would be careful pulling the bonnet stripes. On a seven year old (red) car you are likely going to see a color difference. In most paints the red/magenta pigments tend to sun fade quickly. Even my 2010 sterling silver had a slight discoloration and it was only two years old when I pulled the stripes. Even now four years later it has almost evened out but I still see it. YMMV

I hear ya, the PO must have re cleared the hood, and gotten a bit of overspray onto the stripes. Looks like i may have to take it into the paint shop...

It seems you are in the way for a $3K hood paint job to be done properly. Good luck.

Thank you, I've never been a fan of red but I like this one. I wanted to see how it'd look with black wheels, so I temporarily dipped them black. I do enjoy it, but I think I'm going to go get themy powder coated.
