I have a question that may seem silly. I purchased OEM Mini Rally Driving lights with the white covers that say mini. Looks like the covers pop off? or maybe not? I bought them used with just the lights and brackets. My other question is there somewhere I can get the wiring and switch?

Another couple of questions, is there a way to know if there is a part number on them that identifies if they are for the first generation. I got just brackets, lights and covers. Nothing else.

Is there instructions for the installation?

And How do the covers come off, they came with the covers on...

 

Question for ECSTunning. I called your 800#, and the person I spoke with said the wire harness is not available separately.

I figured out what I have exactly for my 2006 r53 Mini. Based on photos on your website:

Lights, are the OEM 63120417670, ES#172118,
Brackets are OEM 63122355769, ES#2714933

My question, is there a harness and power button for this? and if so what are the part numbers and will these light work with a 2006 Mini cooper, when I called Mini Parts locally and gave him the part number for the light, he said it was for 2007 and up.

You can tell if is gen 1 MINI by the housings, they are chrome and look exactly like the ones in our pics.

Plastic " MINI " covers snap on and off.

 

That link above is for the R53 and all the r53 rally lights parts.

They must have made a mistake on the #800 number, sorry about that . The parts are linked above and for the R50-R53 rally light kit factory.


Post up a pic of the kit you have.

 

But my question is the lights and brackets I have which look to be for a R56, can they be used on a R53?

when I look at the lights under the 2006, they look different than the part number 63120417670, when I gave that number to the local mini parts dept, they said that was for a R56. If indeed so is there anyway to use them on a R53, is there a number I can call you direct and speak with you?

Welcome. Sorry for the confusion , i was looking at two different thread about the same thing.

I would sell them , people are always looking for OEM new parts in gen 2 up MINIs : https://www.northamericanmotoring.co.../parts/search/
You have the fits guide now.

Its much easier with the stock fitment , then modding those.

then you could get the Gen 1 Factory set up or just the lights and mounts for looks, but most people want them to work, so down the road if you sell the MINI, then they would work.

 

Ok, do you sell the harness that would go with what I got for the R56, so when I sell them, I can refer them to you for the harness.

I would sell them for the F56-F55 guys as you have the F56 -F56 Mounts.

There is no separate part number for the R56-F55 harness , thats why they said we did not have one when you called ECS, so we figured out that one.

Ok I listed them for sale, haven't had much interest yet. Is there anyway to use the lights as a decoration without them working. Any way to mod the brackets to work or any other brackets to buy that could work?
