It's disheartening that Borla actually packaged those chrome tips for shipment. It's obvious that the impact damage didn't happen in shipping, as form-fitting rigid foam was used throughout, and the box showed no damage from transport.

In addition to the impact damage, the tips weren't properly polished.

Good luck in getting this resolved!

 

Man, that's too bad about the tips.

I unboxed my Invidia cat-back the other day and was surprised that there was no damage.

They used minimal bubble wrap (around the mufflers only) and some sealed air pillows thrown in on top.

The tips were covered by fiberboard tubes, so they were safe.

Each component was inside a poly bag, but there was no foam like what your Borla had. Nearly every component was able to make contact with each other.

I work in the packaging industry, and that type of foam is called "foam-in-place". It does conform very nicely to the product and provides great protection.

Borla reached out to me this morning about getting the tips replaced.

Nice, yea they are good guys, they will come through.

We carry there exhaust also now.

 

Keep us posted on how the installation goes. Some of the studs on the car that connect the hangers to the car are fairly week especially if there is any rust involved.
