I've been seeing this more and more in the Rocket Bunny and Liberty Walk kits as well. You make the car body wider and put 2" wheel spacers on to... what?.... Wreck your wheel bearings? I get the aesthetic (pardon the pun, I follow them on IG as well btw), but not my thing personally.

Yeah that is not going to work but in the few states that requires the tires to NOT stick out past the fenders.dump trucks, tractor trailers etc all pick up and toss out rocks etc.

These are no bueño for a track car or a daily driver. It might be something for an owner that wants to park their Mini on the grass.

They are also required to have mud flaps in working condition. I've already taken someone to small claims court on this in Texas. All I need is a sympathetic judge... and plenty of photos.

I would think this would be easily litigated since the modification above is strictly for looks, serves no other purpose, and is poorly designed.

The flares are definitely the look right now in the car scene. I don't think I've ever seen a MINI with one's like this, now that I really think about it. Interesting look. Looking forward to seeing your R56 once they're installed.

Hmmmmmm but would they look dumb with the oem mudflaps and 8.25" wheels with low offset 🤔 I've never been a fan of spacers

Can't wait to see how they look!

i don't see a mini kicking up much of anything. Especially with street tires.

My jeep doesnt even kick up much with mud terrains.

You'd be surprised. Had someone in a Chevy Trax with regular all seasons throw a rock hard enough to put a paint chip in my hood when they passed someone. Illegally. In the HOV lane entrance. On the right. Through zebra stripes.

that sucks.. for sure. North Carolina either doesn't have laws around it or doesn't enforce them. I have a frame plate in the rear and flat fenders so the back of my tires are completely open. Might be a **** move to some, but I don't drive it anywhere other than town and the beach or off road.

Look at almost any MINI with painted side skirts and arches if they are driving it alot highway and back roads etc after a few years they will have rock chips on both even with stock sized tires. RMW is selling a great looking wide fender kit.
Side note, I live on a gravel road and my jeep tires pick up rocks and as I hit the pavement each morning it sounds like an Al Copone drive by with the rocks banging around on the fenders and under the jeep..

These look great. Instead of using spacers, couldn't you go with a truly wider tire set up? I am new to the Mini world and as mentioned above really want to go with this new trend, I also am not a spacer fan because it just takes skinny tires and pushes them out. I would like to have some meat on the ground. Anybody with flares running WIDE tires?

Spacers just help those who didn't want to buy new wheels or couldn't get the offset needed in the wheels they did buy.. I'm not a fan of them either but might be a necessary evil if going widebody..

Or want to keep a square set-up for tire rotation.

I love proper fender flares (I actually like the riveted look, side note), but I'm doubting these add any fender clearance. The point of these is to enable you to cut fender metal away, increasing the fender well clearance at low ride heights. I don't see how these would even work well for hard parking a low car.

That said, it's cool to see new Mini products so I'm not trying to hate. But for $700...some function would be nice.

I think it says alot the demo car has ancient R1Rs mounted...those haven't been fast since they first came out. The next car in that photo has either RE71Rs or Z2 Star Specs and in either case would spank the R1R car

Wow, I just realized that I never actually posted the "keep it aesthetic" fender flares 4 years later lol! Well since then, they have made F-series Flares and R50 flares along with the R56!
Check them out! @keepitaesthetic on instagram

You actually got the flares from this company? Idk about your experience, mine was terrible with keepitaesthetic.. really long story short, I gave them 800 for the fenders 6 months later (max time on paypal refund) still didn't produce. I have heard horror stories from this company..

( Vaddesign )has the same fenders much better to deal with..

I personally didn’t have a problem. I’m actually part of a WhatsApp group and we all have them and no one has had any problems. Keepitaesthetic has been around for awhile and was the first to ever bring these style flares to the Mini scene. Everyone started knocking them off every since. Sorry that you had that experience.

Any update to this thread or the vendor?
I ordered a set of flares for my F56 and was told they would ship in March.
I have sent 3 emails requesting updated shipping information and have not received an answer.
Might you have a phone number for them or even know where they are located?
The only contact info I can find on their web site is the email I have already tried????
Thank you,
Rocketrob

It's been a while, and idk about the dude the commented above you.. but I have had nothing but the worst experience with this ***** company.. I was in the second batch that they made or lied about, after giving the 800 dollers several several emails no responses, I looked up the PayPal agreement and waited... Till 5 months and a couple of days then put a claim in.. PayPal ripped the 800 from there bank account, then guess what?! I got a response, an email finally!! Lol asking why I did a claim they said they shipped them.. game me a fake tracking number to.. I sware worst company... Get your money back.. I'll send you the link to an Italian company that has the exact same fenders (if I can remember the company)
