Replaced my faded badge today with a $18 used one and I was surprised the paint underneath the badge looks more faded than the outside. So which was the original color?? Thanks.
Yea, the sun will fade the paint with age, the paint under the badge looks closer to it. Mellow yellow has a tad more orange tint to it then the old liquid yellow.

It's funny, because the sun fades paint overtime, some body shops wont use your paint code to color match for repraying body parts. I just had the front end of my car resprayed and they used a part of the bumper piece to pull a paint chip from and color matched it to that. It's pretty awesome as it blends so well with the fenders and the rest of the car. If he would have just used my paint code, then I definitely would have been able to tell.
Hi, I'm in Toronto, would buy from reasonable distance. Looking for a well-kept and loved Cooper S Auto, Mellow Yellow. It will be my third mini hopefully. Please reply to muratozsan
