JCW JCW Pro exhaust tips
JCW Pro exhaust tips
Has anyone put these on themselves? I know another poster had the dealer install the carbon fiber ones on the stock exhaust, so I know it can be done.
Each of the stock pipes have a post on them, and the stock tips have a channel that fits around the post. Then, they are spot weld in place.
I'm wondering how you remove the little post so that the JCW Pro tips will slide on - they don't have a channel on them.
Thanks

The Pro tips have a set screw on the bottom. For them to work on a non Pro exhaust pipe the diameter would have to be a close match to the Pro pipes for them to fit properly.
I know that someone put the carbon fiber ones on the stock pipes, so the diameter should be fine. I'm just wondering how I remove these posts. They don't have Phillips head or anything on top that you'd fit a tool into. They may have just chopped them off.
I just had the JCW PRO exhaust installed on my F56 JCW and I am planning on adding the chrome JCW tips from Way Motor Works. I prefer the chrome over the carbon fiber. Currently, I have the original JCW tips and they are sort of plain Jane.
