Wheel Hub Extenders (because 5mm spacers happen), need a machinist
Hi,
I need somebody who is willing to fabricate some aluminum wheel hub extenders for me.
Problem: I just added some 5mm spacers to my car to be able to fit my big brake setup. Because of this and because the wheel interior is beveled even though it is 56.1mm hubcentric, the wheel is hubcentric....ish now, resulting in vibrations after 60 mph. Nothing big, but doesn't everybody love a smooth riding car?
I found an example:(unfortunately nobody else does this for any car)
http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-21...ders-pair.aspx
I'll obviously give the necessary measurements...but first I need a volunteer who is good at fabricating and has the machinery.
Also:
I bet this is a problem for a lot of people running small spacers like 3,5,7 and 10mm, because there is no extended lip to make up for the stolen wheel hub lip. The solution to this problem is the extended hub center. So, if you have added a spacer and feel "balancing" issues afterwards even though your wheel are balanced...this is your problem. You need a hub extender.
I hope I'm helping the community.

Manny
