Any word on an actual tune for our Minis?

I know there are great plug in modules out there and that for the best part, can be removed to keep your warranty, hopefully if needed. Has anyone yet heard of an actual tune coming out for the F56 this year? I loved my tune RMW did for my 2010 R56 S, especially when you compare it to the old plug in module Alta was selling back in the day. Heard mention that burger tune was working with someone, and maybe even Jan at RMW, but all has gone quiet lately. Just curious since the Minis on the tail of the dragon isn't too far away as well as Mini takes the states and I'd like an extra something to go with my exhaust when it arrives from AWE Tuning.

Finally, there is a company doing actual ECU flashes now. They just have stage one for stock and stage 2 for catless DP.

I didn't see anything on their website that lists any info, just pics of two F56 JCW with their hoods up saying they are getting a tune on a facebook page. Any idea what gains they are talking about? Boost increase, etc?

OK just got off the phone with the shop. Apparently they just reflashed 2 F56 JCW this week! The gains were 60 more HP and 80 more LBFT for a stage 1! WOW. And, if the dealership happens to reflash your car after maintenance, they would reflash your ECU no problem.

yeah, I called them too when I first saw mention they tuned them. A bit on the pricey side but solid gains.

I never did ask the price, what is it? Plus, did you happen to ask if they can load a tuner to reflash the car as need be without going back to Jersey?

IIRC they were $1199 and $1399 respectively. Stage 2 is only for vehicles with catless DP. I did not ask about reflashing but he did mention removing the ECU to flash it so I'm guessing no hand held tuner at this point.

WOW, never thought it would be that much! That's almost 3 times what I paid for RMW to tune my R56! Yep, I'm happy with my NM power module for right now

^yeah, I know the "flash" purists won't buy a piggy back but for the cost of their stage 2 you can buy a jb4 and a catless DP. (which is the direction I'm leaning)

There are a bunch of tuning shops in UK that can bench flash the F56 ECU. The yellow forum has a handful of guys that's done flash tunes with excellent success, including the JCW.

However, none of the ones I've emailed seem to be willing to do overseas shipments. :(

I haven't yet talked to RMW to see if he's bought the requisite hardware to do the bench flashing; it's different than the tools he has for the R53 and R56's because the ECU is all-new.

That is some terrible advertising. They don't say anything other than "nice gains".

I'm not sure if this is really the F56 ECU but the title says so. They are Manic dealer in Singapore.

Dinan was supposed to have something for the beginning of 2016...looks like they're late.

^lol thanks but not modding the mini at this moment, just making plans and giving the aftermarket some time to catch up on these things. The Pcar is undergoing a few upgrades and I can't do both at once.

There's a shop out here in Miami that will do a ECU tune, but it's a little pricey. Like $1100 pricey. So right now I'm stuck on spending the extra money on a tune or getting the power module from nm

OK, why would you pay $1000 for 29 hp increase and 22 ftlb torque on a JCW? Still loving my power module. Hopefully Jan at RMW will come up with something special. He did my R56 perfect, can only hope and wait.

excellent question, I'm sure not about to spend that kind of $ on a flash lol. I guess they charge it because some people will pay it!

Manic's Tune should be out sometime this year. Maybe another 6-8 months is what I last heard.
