is this the same steering wheel as a base r56? mine feels like it's vinyl and it's really shiny.

Yes it is. I think this is leather, however it does feel like vinyl. But it is not shiny and in very good condition.

bought a a basic mini cooper s would this steering with controls work in the car as a direct replacement?
