New To Me JCW

I found a 2015 JCW B/CR with 3,406 miles and an in service date f 4/16/2025 at a Lexus dealer near my house. With the year end clock ticking down I feel like I made an incredible deal. I have had three MNI's in the past but needless to say this one is the crown jewel. Looking forward to some serious motoring.

It's always puzzling to me why someone buys a new car then trades it in only months later....definitely their loss (are they just stupid or what? LOL).

Seriously, someone's loss is definitely your gain. You couldn't have put together a better spec yourself.....absolutely gorgeous JCW!

Enjoy,

John

It had the window sticker in the glovebox and I drove it out the door for a tick over $9,000 below sticker at a Lexus dealer. That included their $590 doc fee plus a $99 electronic registration fee and a $39 tag fee. I would say they took a pretty serious beating.

That's an excellent deal, you probably paid about $27k right? That car looks excellent. Part of me wishes I'd waited for the F56 JCW but I just couldn't pass up the Coupe body style. I bet the thing is really quick!

I understand gong with the Coupe. What a cool piece. I personally couldn't get in one so it was not an option for me. The F56 is truly an amazing piece. The BMW switchgear is top rate. It sounds so good you don't want to turn on the radio. It probably was around $27k because of all the add on junk. I was strictly focused
on the out the door price. I also traded in a truck that they gave me $1300 less than payoff so that was rolled in to the $28k too. It was the second time I traded a full size truck in on a MINI. I traded a Raptor n on the last one.

Congrats on the excellent deal! It must be an automatic to be that early build of a JCW.

Yes it is. I have a busted up left and can't work a clutch. My 04 and 06 were manuals. My 11 was an auto and I hated the way it worked and sold it after a few months. This thing on the other is amazing. I'm not sure I would get a manual even if my leg worked. It is an absolute blast to ride.

Thanks Way. I'm not sure you remember me but I bought a carbon fiber shift **** from you at MOTD in 07 and it didn't fit well. You came by my house in Duluth and swapped it out for some brake work. I'm in real estate and you said you were thinking about moving here and asked where would be a good place to put your shop. Based on the info you gave me I recommended an area to you and that is where you ended up. I'll stop in and see you soon.

I agree on all points. The Sport Auto programming in the JCW is top shelf. If you ever take it to the track, you'll be blown away how good the preemptive downshifting is in braking zones. Really impressive stuff.

Talking New to me as well

Retired from USN plus 20 years in the retail car business North Metro Atlanta. I've owned over 130 cars (not counting dealer cars) and now my 2016 JCW ordered in late Oct and arrived late November. It's my 2nd car (for fun driving) and has been a blast so far, just turned 2,000 miles on the ODO. Only issue is what someone else on here committed on; The speedo shows faster than it's actually going by somewhere in the range of 3mph at 70 mph. Not sure if there is a fix for that.

Bought from the newest metro dealer and near me 'Mall of GA Mini' that were very professional and easy to deal with.

I have questions re: Nav system. Traffic feature is unusual to me in that I can't show green/amber/red for traffic conditions. Is that normal or is there a secret toe cross to set it properly?

Also is there a more affordable place to buy the 'console Apple connection cord' than the dealer?

Thx
Will update my signature soon.

You can't "fix" the speedometer. European cars require this by law. The actual speed has to be lower than the speedo shows. All Minis do it, always have. I think the cord can be bought cheaper, but I probably have a different one than you. Mine is a Y connector, but it was free from the dealer. IMO is your car uses one the dealer should toss you one out of a drawer.
