Yellow half CEL on after long idle period

On our manual 2010 r56s with 43k, that has run flawlessly over the past year -

Today I took a 10 minute drive and made a stop where I expected to be there for 5 minutes so I let the car idle. Ended up being 25 minutes.

Came out and soon after I got in, the half yellow CEL came on on the tach, and rough idle. I say rough because it sounded different and did not rev normally when I gave it a little gas.

Had never seen this before other than hearing about others seeing it on here. Shut down the car. Let it sit for a minute and started it up and drove the 10 minutes home with no further issues.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Yes, thanks. I don't have a code reader at this point. I'll have to stop by one of the auto stores. I have the Torque app, just never got a BT module for it.

What I wanted to know in the meantime is if anyone had the half CEL come up due to long idling.

Also called the dealer service dept. after making the first post. Response was could be anything from HPFP to plugs to coils, etc.

Yep, could be a lot of different things, is why you need to pull the code. You can also stop at an auto parts store (ie Autozone) and get it pulled for free. Unfortunately, if it's a BMW/Mini specific code, you'll need to get it pulled at either a Mini dealer or a Mini independent.

I use Torque app as well, got an ODB BT adapter off Amazon for about $20. Has come in handy a few times as it does a lot more than pull/delete codes.
