Arrow Presenting the AWE Tuning MINI F56 Exhaust Suite

  • Direct bolt-on system for factory-like simplicity
  • No Check Engine Light - Guaranteed
  • Perfect Fitment - Guaranteed

The Options:

The Touring Edition Exhaust

A bespoke exhaust designed specifically for the F56 MINI Cooper S (F56), the Touring Edition Exhaust features AWE Tuning’s proprietary sound cancellation solution, 180 Technology®, enabling the perfect tone, minus drone, delivering the ultimate mix of performance and sophistication. A direct bolt-on, straight-through design, the Touring Edition Exhaust delivers a civil, smooth soundtrack throughout the range while providing an enhanced in-cabin driving experience no matter how hard you’re motoring.

Sound Perfection: AWE Tuning 180 Technology®

There are valved systems out there. There are other exhausts out there. But there is no other exhaust on the planet with 180 Technology®, AWE Tuning’s proprietary sound cancellation approach.

How it works:
As exhaust gases exit the F56’s 2.0T engine and flow into an AWE Tuning 180 Technology® equipped resonator, they pass through strategically located ports, and into reflection chambers. Sound waves, carried by these exhaust gasses, bounce off the walls of the reflection chambers. By controlling the size and location of the ports and the chambers, we also control when the sound waves exit the chambers. The specific timing of when the reflected sound waves rejoin the main exhaust flow creates a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree out-of-phase sound wave that cancels out problematic frequencies. More on AWE Tuning 180 Technology® in the tab above.

Why it matters:
Unlike a valved system that requires the driver to select volume, 180 Technology® is activated by your driving style. Highway cruising on a conference call? No worries, we’re quiet. Ready to motor? Wake the beast with throttle input. It’s sophisticated and disobedient, all in one clean package, thanks to 180 Technology®.

The Track Edition Exhaust

If you’re all about 100% agro 100% of the time, the Track Edition is for you. It’s known to get raucous in the mid-range and could be a little much for many: so be ready, my friends!

The F56 MINI Cooper S Track Edition Exhaust takes the engineered design of the Touring Edition Exhaust and replaces the AWE Tuning 180 Technology® resonator with a straight pipe section, delivering an even bigger dose of scream out of a small package (snaps, crackles, and pops included, and enhanced).

Tip Options:

Both systems are available with 102mm Diamond Black or Chrome Silver tips, including the AWE Tuning logo, and double walling to ensure a mirror finish even under hard usage. All tips are individually adjustable, allowing depth into the bumper to be set according to personal taste.

The Power:

The AWE Tuning F56 Exhaust Suite produces solid gains over the stock system to the tune of:

Where you you put the track edition in terms of loudness compared to the other aftermarket exhausts?

I can't comment on other systems on the market as we have not compared them side-by-side nor have I personally experienced other systems from behind the wheel.

This is my first car that I actually care about and will modify. I'm saving my pennies for the AWE Touring Edition. My question is, do I drive about 2 hours to have it installed at a location that I believe helped develop it and is known for their MINI innovations or drive 15 minutes and have it installed at an authorized AWE reseller but is more known for their work on honda and vw? Better stated, does it really matter where I have it installed as long as the place I pick is a reputable place?

generally speaking, it's just a bolt-on exhaust, so really doesnt' matter...BUT...it may be worth the 2 hour drive just to be able to drive you new exhaust the 2 hours back home
plus, the AWE facility is really really nice..not your local mechanic...it's f*cking huge.

If you don't mind the ride, def. pay a visit to our friends at Helix. Make a trip out of it and you're more than welcome to come pay us a visit, too!

All in all, I feel you'll be well taken care of with either option

Thanks Josh

I've heard nothing but great things about Helix. I just didn't want to feel silly about the drive. I guess I'll set something up in a few weeks when the weather is nice and enjoy the road trip.

Road trips can always be fun and you get to make new friends, but the install is quite easy as long as you have a floor jack to do the job yourself. The whole removal and install only took me only an hour and a half and that's because I struggled a bit with the rear rubber hangar removal since I didn't have the tool the dealer ship has. But the exhaust is built perfectly and fits exactly as advertised. No shimming or anything, just unbolt old exhaust, remove a few bolts from the braces, reinstall and bam, you have a great sounding new exhaust.

This has been the best investment I've done in a long time to any cars exhaust.

Having my touring edition installed Tuesday :-) Seems there is a 2-3 week wait for black tips. Being inpatient I settled for the chrome - lol. Looking forward to the growl.
