Hi, does this remove the stock second cat? If so, is there any way to make this work in conjunction with the stock second cat to pass California smog visual test? Thanks.

You could always say the resonator in the midpipe is a cat

The touring has a resonator in the midpipe, not a cat. The race doesnt have anything there.

It won't have a CARB EO# on it so that probably won't work

Or cry if you live in California

Do you think splicing the stock pipe right after the 2nd cat would work?

The Track Edition still keeps the resonator in the mid pipe, it omits the 180 Technology® resonator in the rear.

Im so torn on which one to get. I have a catless DP so how loud are we talking with the track setup?

I got both the track and touring. Both sound different cause of the muffler. Track is very loud with the catless dp and there is a drone. The touring isn't as loud cause of the 180 muffler. But with the Bytetronik tune with CAT-Heat Cycle OFF it stops the loud start ups. I currently have the touring installed and haven't tried the tune with the track yet. Maybe in a few weeks.

When I had the track installed, I was in Manhattan, I revved the engine and had some pops and bangs. It echoed down the street and back up again. Damn it was loud!

Thanks man!

Any chance you have a sound clip. My setup is ok but around the 4K mark there is a horrible rice-boy rattle that drives me nuts.

Alright, how much of my soul do I have to sell to get it on my F55S? In all seriousness though, would it fit on an F55? Or will there be some minor modifications to the exhaust so it could fit? I really love this exhaust and I'm planning on getting it if it can somehow attach.

Thanks!

AWE has stated to me multiple times they have no plans on offering an exhaust for the f55.

You can modify the AWE exhaust to fit the f55 but 2 things need to happen in order to make it fit.
1. extend the midpipe section
2. extend the tailpipe section

Thanks for replying! How would I go about doing this? This is really my first time modifying anything on any car so I'm a little inexperienced. Or should I let a shop deal with the extension?

Thanks again

Any reputable exhaust shop that can weld stainless steel would be able to do it. It would requires zero additional bends. It is simply extensions. The way the AWE tips are in relation to the rear exhaust hanger would require the tips to be cut right before the "Y" extended and re-welded. The midpipe section could be easily done with clamps and a pipe instead of welding.

I hear ya, brother. The market already has a lot of options, and considering we only use HJS catalysts, I am unsure the price point could be met and if it would be a worthwhile development endeavor.

I do not like being the bad news bear, trust me.
