Repair MINI Cooper S cost

I was wondering what the parts cost and what not. Currently i have warranty on my car so its not an issue for three years. I currently work at a Buick GMC dealership and they have a full service shop. I was wonder if thats a good idea to let them work on it as i don't know if they are certified for it. But they know their cars. I would probably just buy the parts online and just pay them for labor when i bring them in. What are your guys' thoughts on the matter? And just out of curiosity how reliable are the 2012 MCS, how many miles do you have and what the highest you've heard of, and last but not least how expensive are repairs from the dealership compared to other brands. I'm by no means rich just working a full time IT job and going to school. but i make alright money for the time being.

With every shop there are good techs and bad techs. As around your workplace and you'll find out. Also find one that is interested in working on the MINI as that person will be more likely to do a better job. Just keep in mind they may not have the special tools needed for some jobs.

I have a few customers with over 180k miles on their car.

We sell all the MINI parts so we are happy to send you anything you need.

In three years you might not be working at Buick. Why not enjoy the car and not think three years out?

Show the techs this forum and have the read up on the fixes , and good mechanic should be able to work on these cars. Finding someone whom interested in working on the MINI at the dealership is key.

yeah that's true. I will try to do things myself. I've always wanted a project car that i could work on. Now i finally have one! just have to be careful not to void the warranty. Thanks for the links for the list of parts. I talked to them today and they even said that they would install mods at a discount for me! this might be dangerous lol.
